K-netizens React To LE SSERAFIM’s Song “Smart” Not Being Registered On KOMCA

Netizens suspect that LE SSERAFIM’s “Smart” has been sued for plagiarism as it is not registered for copyrights

A netizen in Instiz shared some screenshots showing information about LE SSERAFIM’s songs that have been registered on KOMCA (Korea Music Copyright Association) such as “Easy”, “Good Bones”, “Swan Song”, and “We Got So Much”.

However, this netizen pointed out that there is no result when searching for copyright registration of the song “Smart” of the same album, saying “Is this among the songs Min Hee-jin mentioned when saying HYBE was under discussion over the copyright issues with a huge amount of money?”.

In response, other netizens commented:

– Considering the timing when Min Hee-jin prepared and sent the whistleblowing email, I guess not only this song but previous albums had also been sued. Negotiations for some songs have been completed while Easy album is still undone. I guess they haven’t reached an agreement for Easy

– Several songs were sued, so what are the other ones?

– Then it is true, right? The plagiarism issue…?

– LE SSERAFIM was really sued for plagiarism. It happens to foreign songs. Then ILLIT is plagiarizing NewJeans

– I already predicted this result

– Then this proves that HYBE doesn’t have enough money…

– They copied not only the song but also the concept of their outfits and choreographies. Anyone can tell it right away
