JYP Entertainment has its own set of rules trainees and artists must follow. Even J.Y. Park (Park Jin Young) openly discussed restrictions imposed on artists, such as the prohibition of staff members entering bars where only women serve.
Various JYP idols have disclosed details about the rules they must adhere to. Notably, there’s the dating ban, initially spanning five years for JYP idols, as revealed by JYP himself. However, it was later reduced to three years.
Recently, NMIXX’s Lily and Haewon made an appearance on Psick Univ and the hosts inquired about JYP’s dating ban. The hosts questioned whether it was true that JYP idols were prohibited from dating for a staggering “seven years,” and Lily denied.
Haewon then defused the conversation, acknowledging it as a sensitive topic for fans.
So, does JYP still enforce a dating ban on idols? Lily’s response suggests that, if it exists, it’s at least not a seven-year mandate.
