“Go shoot an erotic thriller or something!” Lee El recalls a harsh remark she received as a rookie actress

Actress Lee El revealed a nasty side of acting auditions with a story from her past. 

In the 384th episode of JTBC’s “Knowing Bros” aired on May 20th, Lee El, Jin Seo Yeon, Cha Ye Ryun, and Park Hyo Joo from ENA’s new drama “Happiness Battle” appeared as guests. 

On this occasion, Lee El revealed a shocking story from when she was a rookie actress. She started by affirming, “I’m not just a beauty, but when I went to an audition, [a person from the casting team said] we didn’t know where to put you and what to use you for”. That person continued making nasty remarks, “You should go and shoot an erotic thriller or something” and threw a lot of slurs at her. The cast on set could not hide their shocking expressions.

Lee El confessed, “It hurt a little then, but it helped me to aim for a niche market”. She concluded by saying, “People who say such things can’t go well”. 

Meanwhile, Lee El was born in 1982 and is known for her supporting roles in movies and dramas such as “Inside Men”, “It’s Okay, That’s Love”, “Goblin”, and “Black”.
