Amid BLACKPINK Jisoo’s explosive solo debut, YG Entertainment dropped Jisoo’s album jacket behind the scenes.

While Jisoo is earning various impressive achievements on music charts with her solo debut, YG Entertainment unveiled the making film video for Jisoo’s first album [ME] on April 2nd.

The video showcases various stylings that capture Jisoo’s unique charms, which already became a hot topic when the teaser content was released.

Jisoo led the filming atmosphere with her professionalism. She boasted her ability to perfectly digest diverse concepts, including the freshness of flowers in full bloom, alluring red color, and classical beauty, highlighting her ever-changing charm.

Jisoo stood out with her bright smile and positive energy when she was off-cam. She did not lose her smile and tried to cheer herself up during the difficult outdoor filming. Revealing her feelings about the shoot, Jisoo said, “It was new and fun”.

Meanwhile, Jisoo’s solo album [ME]’s title track “FLOWER” topped iTunes Top Song Chart in 63 countries, including the U.S. On the first day of the song’s release, she also ranked 6th on the world’s largest music streaming platform Spotify, establishing the highest record for K-pop female soloists.

“FLOWER” music video is also trending. As soon as it was released on Youtube, the song immediately rose to No.1 on the Worldwide Trending chart and quickly became the most-watched MV in 24 hours. BLACKPINK’s official Youtube channel also gained a large number amount of subscribers and exceeded 85.7 million.

The album [ME] is already making new history by selling 870,000 copies within its release day. After only three weeks of pre-orders, it surpassed 1.31 million copies, signaling the first-ever “million-seller” achievement for a K-pop female solo artist.
