Cha Eun Woo said this at the press conference for TVING’s original drama “Island” held in Yeouido, Seoul on the afternoon of December 22nd.
“Island” depicts the journey of characters destined to fight against the evil that is trying to destroy the world. It is based on the webtoon of the same name by writers Yoon In Wan and Yang Kyung Il. Cha Eun Woo plays John, the youngest exorcist in the drama.
On this day, Cha Eun Woo said, “I read the script first before knowing the original webtoon. After reading the script for the first time, I was attracted to the character John. I wanted to play him, I had a strong desire to take on the challenge because I found John attractive.”
Cha Eun Woo confessed, “From then on, I met the director and talked about this and that. I also talked a lot with Kim Nam Gil, and he said, ‘Let’s do it together’, so I replied, ‘It’s so good’, and I enjoyed filming with a grateful heart.”
“Island” will be released for the first time on TVING on December 30th.
