2022 Miss Korea is Lee Seung-hyun from Korea University: “I dream of becoming a global fashion brand’s CEO”
Lee Seung-hyun, an economics student from Korea University, was elected as the 66th winner of “Miss Korea”.
Hosted by Global E&B, the “66th 2022 Miss Korea” was held at Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on Oct 26th.
The final night was hosted by broadcaster Kim Tae-jin and 2019 Miss Korea Miss Shin Hye-ji and Shin Yoon-ah, showing off their fantastic teamwork. This year, only 30 of the 54 candidates who won the regional preliminary round were able to enter the finals after strict screening.
The 30 candidates opened the finals spectacularly with the stage of Miss Korea’s first full-length album, “Dream on.” “Dream On” is a song sung by the finalists themselves, which conveys their dreams and strong energy. Following the stage decorated with a perfect group performance, a video was released with an introduction to each candidate and their long journey to the finals.
The finalists showed off their skills and talents by reenacting a scene from the musical “Grease” with a powerful dance performance. They even did a fashion show, and a celebration stage from rookie group LUMINOUS and singer Paul Potts, the first winner of Britain’s 2007 reality TV show “Britain’s Got Talent.”
The main character of the day, 2022 Miss Korea Jin (Winner), went to 23-year-old Lee Seung-hyun.
Lee Seung-hyun, who introduced herself as a “trend setter”, is a female CEO who develops her own brand value through various activities. She said, “My dream is to become the CEO of a global fashion brand.”
Lee Seung-hyun, who had the biggest crown on her head, thanked her family and friends and expressed her feelings, “I will accept that the crown means to do better.” Besides, 2022 Miss Korea Sun (First) and Mi (Second) went to Yoo Si-eun (25, Seoul, Department of Aviation Services at Yeonsung University) and Kim Go-eun (22, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Air Transportation at Inha Technical College).
The slogan of the 66th 2022 Miss Korea Contest is “Green Healing Moment – The Most Beautiful Healing Begins”, which means that it will provide beautiful healing to those who enjoy the contest.
Global E&B, the organizer of the event, said, “Miss Korea pageant, which boasts history and tradition, showed more unconventional and trendy changes this year and received more enthusiastic responses than ever before. The “66th Miss Korea Contest” was recorded and will be broadcast on Wavve and cable channels SmileTV, TVAsia, Weetv at 8 PM on Nov 11th.
