Tom Cruise, who is nicknamed “Kind Uncle Tom” for his amazing fanservice, showed his sincere love for fans by even doing the Gyaru Peace, the most famous pose among teens in Korea. 

On June 19th, the Red Carpet event for the movie “Top Gun: Maverick” was held at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Tom Cruise spent time communicating with fans who came to see him and doing fans’ requests one by one.

In particular, the top star noticed a fan who told him to do the Gyaru Peace pose. “Gyaru Peace” is the combination of “Gyaru (the Japanese pronunciation of ‘Girl’)” and “Peace”, which means the V sign. To make this pose, you need to make a V sign and then spin your arm to turn the V upside down.

It depicts the story of Captain Maverick, a legendary test pilot, returning as an instructor at Top Gun, an institution for pilots. In the U.S market, “Top Gun: Maverick” is currently the biggest hit of the year. It has grossed $466 million, surpassing “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, which earned $450 million.
