On June 7th, various celebrities graced the red carpet at the new adidas x Gucci campaign. The fashion event garnered great attention from fashion lovers and the public alike, seeing that it brings a harmony between adidas’s casual athleticism and Gucci’s heritage regality. Notable names at this event include: (G)I-DLE, IVE Ahn Yujin, Kim Ji Won, Ji Chang Wook, Ahn Hyo Seop, and many more.
Actress Kim Ji Won, who recently starred in “My Liberation Notes”, showed up in a green and white outfit with blunt bangs and the brightest smile.
IVE Ahn Yujin – a representation of Kpop 4th gen adorned the two brands’ latest designs, including a bag with adidas’s logo and Gucci’s signature red-green pattern on the strap.
3 members of (G)-IDLE showed up at the event in completely different styles. While Miyeon wore a short patterned dress, Soyeon adorned a sexy yet chic crop top and skirt, then Minnie boasted a highteen look.
As a top visual of the Kpop 4th generation, Miyeon shined under all the flashlights. Her amplified eyelashes, fair skin, and glossy pink cheeks really brought out the female idol’s full beauty.
Meanwhile, Soyeon went all out on boldness with heavy makeup and gray lens. She also wore brown smokey eye blush, red nails, and adorned a full lip look.
Thai member Minnie decided on a more youthful and lively look with hair in a bun, winged eyeliner, and light lip makeup.
Ji Chang Wook looked like he’s just back from a luxurious vacation with an eye-catching red bag, white tee, dark cardigan, and brown pants.
Ahn Hyo Seop attracted attention with his curly hair. He wore a signature jacket from the collection with basic jeans and carried a black bag similar to Ji Chang Wook.
GOT7’s leader JB surprised fans with his new short haircut. He chose dark blue and light brown as the main colors for his outfit at the event. Glasses completed the look and made JB stand out even more.
The pop-up event marking the collaboration between Gucci and adidas showed the brands’ unique approach to high fashion. The setting has a classic decoration inspired by the 70s. There is also a model of a sports club with a mini golf course, and a separate sports-themed photobooth. The pop-up store is open to visit from June 8 to 19.
Creating a stir from the first time it was introduced at Milan Fashion Week in September 2021, the adidas x Gucci collection was officially launched and became available for sale on June 7, 2022. The collection has a trendy, sporty theme with a bit of nostalgia of the 70s – 80s. From the lookbook, the collection shows the classic yet luxurious style, making traditional clothes feel more youthful and dynamic. The combination of the iconic Gucci pattern and adidas’ three stripes has received positive response.
