“BTS ranked 6th in terms of profit in Billboard Boxscore history.”

BTS proved its global popularity by setting an unrivaled record on Billboard with their concert “BTS Permission To Dance On Stage.” Billboard recently released the biannual Boxscore report (2021.11.01~2022.04.30), in which BTS reached #4 in the “Top Tour” category. BTS recorded about 458,000 audiences after 11 concerts including those in Los Angeles (4 nights), Seoul (3 nights), and Las Vegas (4 nights).

First place Bad Bunny (37 times), second place Elton John (40 times), and third place Genesis (35) have all performed more than 30 concerts, while BTS stood shoulder to shoulder with them with only 11 concerts. The group also topped the monthly “Top Tour” and “Top Boxscore” chart in April. They gathered about 200,000 audiences in Las Vegas for four days, which grossed $35.9 million.

“BTS made about $75.4 million (about 94.6 billion won) in the first half of this year through concerts in Los Angeles and Las Vegas,” Billboard reported. BTS made the sixth-largest profit in the history of Billboard’s Boxscore and is the biggest-grossing artist since Sophie Stadium reopened this year. The media also pointed out that BTS and Bad Bunny’s performances are non-English. “It is the first time in history that these two teams are listed on the top five of the Top Tour annual charts at the same time,” it explained.

BTS previously topped the “LIVE75” chart, which was selected by Pollstar, a magazine specializing in performances in the U.S. Meanwhile, BTS will release their new album “Proof” on Jun 10th. It will be an anthology album that contains all nine years of BTS’ history since their debut.
