A number of articles have recently been posted on online communities, raising rumors of a romantic relationship between BTOB’s Yook Sung-jae and a non-celebrity woman A.
Dating rumors began to spread not long ago when A posted a photo of her using the same phone case as Yook Sung-jae on her SNS account. In particular, rumors of the two’s romantic relationship intensified as A continued to upload a video taken at a golf course and it contained a voice believed to be Yook Sung-jae’s.
A is also known to be a close acquaintance of Peniel, another BTOB member. Therefore, netizens have speculated that Yook Sung-jae and A met with Peniel’s introduction and got closer through the same hobby of playing golf.
However, Yook Sung-jae’s agency, CUBE Entertainment, recently explained the two’s relationship through a statement. The company said, “The content posted on online communities is not true”, adding, “Yook Sung-jae and A are just friends”.
They also added, “After dating rumors broke out, A received so many DMs asking her about their true relationship. That seems to be the reason why she switched her SNS account to private”.
