Magician Lee Eun-gyeol sent a tearful message to his 20-year friend that recently passed away
Magician Lee Eun-gyeol lost the friend that had accompanied him throughout 20 years of his career as a magician.
On February 18th, Lee Eun-gyeol posted on his Instagram, saying, “Two weeks ago… Gaji, who has been with me for 20 years, passed away”. Gaji is the parrot that had done magic with Lee Eun-gyeol for a long time and it was like a friend and a child to the magician. Lee Eun-gyeol expressed his regret in the long post dedicated to Gaji.
He said, “More than anything else, my responsibility was the main reason”, adding, “Gaji always spread his wings for my performances, but I couldn’t give anything to Gaji. Gaji treated me like a father, but I don’t think I had loved and taken enough care of Gaji like my child. That’s my greatest regret. I just keep feeling so sorry”.
The magician added, “Gaji originally could fly really high and far away. Last week, I sent Gaji to Daecheong-bong Peak of Seoraksan Mountain. I hope Gaji can fly to his hometown and meet his family and friends. I hope he can freely leave now”.
Lee Eun-geol also released several photos taken with Gaji. In response to his post, netizens commented with warm words to comfort him.
Lee Eun-gyeol married a non-celebrity woman in 2016. He announced the news of his child’s birth in December last year.
