While some on the lists were heads of departments and teams, instead of whole CEO, their strong and independent vibes make them super memorable female characters.
Bae Ta Mi (Im Soo Jung) – Search: WWW
Played by famous actress Im Soo Jung, the female lead Bae Ta Mi of “Search: WWW” was the searching director of a top IT company. This character was a talented and determined lady figure that would pour her heart and soul into achieving her goals.

Since she was such a workaholic, Bae Ta Mi never dated nor had any plans of starting a family, or at least until the end of “Search: WWW”. This character never lost her composure in all situations, and her intelligence was something to watch out for.
Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon) – Penthouse
The villain of “Penthouse”, Cheon Seo Jin, was whole-heartedly evil. Still, she tried her best for the good of Cheongah Arts High School, and was probably the school’s best director.
In the end, singing was Cheon Seo Jin’s true passion, and she desperately wanted to prove herself to her father. While this character did spend too much time messing around with Oh Yoon Hee, she was trying to protect the school’s legacy throughout the entire series.

If your boss is as beautiful and dedicated as Ha Young Eun, or Song Hye Kyo’s character in “Now, We Are Breaking Up”, you wouldn’t want to resign. This boss was creative and clear in her ideas and expectations, and was exactly how a boss should be.
While Song Hye Kyo received mixed reactions for her performance in this series, her scenes at the office were top-notch. Here, the actress pulled a completely convincing portrayal of a talented, resourceful, and responsible boss.
Jin Ha Kyung (Park Min Young) – Forecasting: Love and Weather
Through “Forecasting: Love and Weather”, Park Min Young beautifully delivered her role as Jin Ha Kyung, head of forecasting department at Korea’s Meteorological Administration. She was a truly capable and headstrong character to achieve this position.
While Ha Kyung saw fluctuating moods from time to time, she was never careless in her work. She also defended her employees and knew how to soothe them, making her a boss of the year.
Noh Hwa Young (Oh Yeon Soo) – Military Prosecutor Doberman
Having surpassed various male colleagues to become the first female boss of the military, the character Noh Hwa Young was not someone to be messed with. She’s a whole-hearted villain who would try any tricks to benefit herself, and even utilized her son for her dirty crafts.
True to her character, Noh Hwa Young had this iconic quote: “You can just watch your hands if they get dirty”, and was the toughest opponent of the series’ protagonists. Actress Oh Yeon Soo truly did a brilliant job when portraying this character.
Oh Han Byul (Lee Sung Kyung) – Shooting Stars
Lee Sung Kyung’s character in “Shooting Stars” was yet another passionate boss. As the head of the PR department at a top entertainment agency, she got some serious talents.
Oh Han Byul could deliver excellent debates, managed crises perfectly, and knew how to best promote stars under her company.
