Actor Son Seok-gu recently received a lot of love for creating a buzzword called the “Son Seok-gu syndrome” after the drama “My Liberation Note.” In addition, the movie “The Roundup,” starring Son Seok-gu, is set to surpass 12.27 million cumulative audiences as of July 2th, ranking 14th among Korean movies of all time.
On June 29th, Son Seok-gu appeared on an entertainment show and drew attention by mentioning his recent status and his view on love. Son Seok-gu said, “It’s exactly my day off today,” and added, “I’m currently filming two works at the same time.”
“If the work goes well, the actors in that work will become popular at the same time and spend all the busy time together, and I think it’s a bit fortunate in that regard. I think it’s good that my time is passing by while I continue in doing what I always do.”
Son Seok-gu, who was born in 1983, is 40 years old this year. When asked, “What is your maximum age gap if you are to date someone younger?” he answered, “Up to 10 years. I don’t think I can date people in their 20s,” he said, drawing attention.
When asked “There were many fans in their 20s that asked you this question. Does this mean that you won’t date anyone that is in their 20s?” Son said, “It depends on your 20s, but I don’t think I would be able to do it,” adding, “In fact, I don’t think I have a high mental age.”
Meanwhile, many fans in their 20s were shocked to hear Son Seok-gu’s interview. They showed many funny reactions, saying, “I’m already eliminated from the preliminaries,” “Because he said it depended on which 20s I’m on, I’m going to challenge that,” “How about I’m in my 20s, but my face is 30…”
