Many stars debuted as singers but gained huge love from viewers for their outstanding acting skills in dramas this year.
First, at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards held on December 30th, 2022, Girls’ Generation Yoona (Im Yoon Ah), won Top Excellence Award, Actress in a Miniseries for her lead role of Ko Mi Ho in “Big Mouth”.
At the same awards ceremony, BTOB Yook Sung Jae, who played the male lead Lee Seung Cheon in “The Golden Spoon”, was honored with Top Excellence Award, Actor in a Miniseries.
At the 2022 SBS Drama Awards held on December 31st, singer Kim Se Jeong, who used to be active as a member of girl group I.O.I, was announced as the winner of Top Excellence Award, Actress in a Miniseries Romance/Comedy Drama. Kim Se Jeong was greatly loved by drama fans for her portrayal of the main character Shin Ha Ri in 2022 hit “Business Proposal”.
On the same day, the 2022 KBS Drama Awards gave Top Excellence Award to D.O. (Do Kyung Soo), a member of the boy group EXO. Do Kyung Soo impressed the small screen audience with his amazing acting in “Bad Prosecutor”.
The public are pouring out compliments for stars who have succeeded in both singing and acting.
