The Sword of Aramoon: Arthdal Chronicles 2

As the follow-up series to “Arthdal Chronicles” (2019), “The Sword of Aramoon” depicts the story that takes place 8 years after Tagon (Jang Dong Gun) took the throne.

Arthdal Chronicles

Regarding viewers’ concerns over the grand worldview and directing plan for Season 2, writer Kim Young Hoon gave an explanation at the press conference on September 5th, saying “I got criticized a lot so I thought I would make Season 2 easier to watch. ‘The Sword of Aramoon’ begins with war. If you follow it, you will be able to naturally immerse yourself in the story”. Co-writer Park Sang Yeon added, “You can focus on the final winner to catch up with the story easier.”

Although Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ok Vin return to Season 2, Song Joong Ki (as Eunseom/Saya) and Kim Ji Won (as Tanya) were replaced by Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung, respectively. In addition, director Kim Kwang Sik directed the second season instead of Kim Won Seok.

The drama premieres at 9:20 p.m. on the 9th through tvN.
