2nd Gen K-pop Idols “Beg” Fans to Buy Their Concert Tickets?

In July 2023, Super Junior L.S.S, a subunit of boy group Super Junior, unveiled their debut single. The unit, which consists of members Leeteuk, Shindong, and Siwon, later released their 1st mini-album “Let’s Standing Show” on January 17, and is set to hold their 1st solo concert, “THE SHOW: Th3ee Guys”, on February 3 and 4 in Korea.

However, despite tickets being open for purchase for over a week and the concert venue being humble, sales have been slow, and most of the venue (especially seats on the second floor) remains empty.

Noticing this, the members of Super Junior L.S.S have been promoting their concerts more frequently by posting about the concerts. The 2nd gen K-pop idols even “beg” fans to buy tickets to the show in a humorous tone.

In particular, they had posted stories with captions such as, “It’s serious. Come see our concert”, “People only miss their hair after they have lost it. That’s why (you should) buy tickets”, and “Who isn’t buying tickets? Who is it? Are you not curious about L.S.S?”

On top of that, Shindong even shared the link to purchase tickets, while Leeteuk spoke seriously about the lackluster sales.

In particular, Leeteuk responded to fans asking L.S.S to come to their country by saying that they need to sell out in Korea first, but that seems impossible.

So far, the subunit has announced several concert stops in Asia, with ticketing already beginning for some of them.
