“Soundtrack #1” is a comforting 4-episode romance series led by Han So Hee and Park Hyung Sik. Having the common friends-to-lovers trope, the story follows Lee Eun Soo and Han Sun Woo, two best friends who first met in highschool and have stuck by each other for the longest time. At one point, their friendship naturally turns into romance. “Soundtrack #1” drew much praise for its short but well-written story, the two leads’ lovely chemistry, eye-candy visuals, and an overall warm and sweet atmosphere.
Kook Yeon Soo & Choi Woong – Our Beloved Summer
Depicting the story of high school classmates who later end up together, but unlike “Soundtrack #1”, “Our Beloved Summer” is an enemies-to-lovers story. Kook Yeon Soo (Choi Dami) and Choi Woong (Choi Woo Sik), first hated each other, then fell in love, broke up, swore that they would never meet again, but fate arranged for their lives to entwine one more time and eventually, the two realized they are each other’s “the one”.
Go Mi Ho & Park Chang Ho – Big Mouth
Although their names combined will be HoHo, which sounds like a happy laugh, sadly Park Chang Ho (Lee Jong Suk) and Go Mi Ho (Yoona) did not receive a happy ending. After 9 years of studying together, 4 years of dating, 3 years of marriage, and have not yet enjoyed their rich life together, one of the two has passed away and left the other alone in this life with an unrelenting pain. This is also the only couple on this list who became husband and wife but still received a sad ending.
Kim Yu Ri & Kim Jung Ho – The Law Cafe
Of all the 4 couples in this article, Kim Yu Ri (Lee Se Young) and Kim Jung Ho (Lee Seung Gi) are truly a frenemy couple since highschool because every time they are alone together, something bad happens. However, since this is a rom-com, the two are expected to have a happy ending in “The Law Cafe”.
