2021 Asia Artist Awards announce actor and singer lineup: BTS and BLACKPINK will not attend
The lineup of 2021 AAA does not live up to the expectations of many netizens.
On November 30, the 2021 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) announced its official lineup. As for the singers, AAA 2021 will feature the presence of Kang Daniel, aespa, ITZY, STAYC, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, The Boyz, ASTRO… This year’s awards ceremony will take place online on December 2 at KBS Arena Hall.
Many netizens have expressed their disappointment with the confirmed lineup due to the absence of many top idol groups of the 3rd generation. Despite the attendance of popular boy groups namely SEVENTEEN, The Boyz or ENHYPEN, along with top female groups of the 4th generation like aespa, ITZY and STAYC, the overall singer line up is still considered underwhelming without BTS, TWICE, BLACKPINK or NCT.
Earlier, fans of Lisa and Rosé wished for the duo of BLACKPINK to attend this year’s AAA as soloists after their successful solo debuts in 2021. Unfortunately, BLACKPINK members will continue to be absent from year-end award shows. This has caused fans of the YG’s girl group to be upset. Many netizens even predict that AAA 2021 will record a poor viewership rating because of this lineup.
