This idol had to skip this year’s college entrance exam due to a sudden hospitalization
The news broke on November 15 when Wikitree reported that LIMELIGHT member Gaeun was rushed to the emergency room after experiencing intense abdominal pain.
The management company later confirmed that Gaeun would be unable to take part in Korea’s college entrance exam (CSAT) slated for November 16. The official statement revealed, “Gaeun is grappling with acute abdominal pain and was taken to the emergency room. Suffering from a high fever and a severe inflammation condition, she made the decision to skip the college entrance exam. Gaeun is expected to remain hospitalized for approximately 2-3 more days.”
Fans flooded social media forums with words of encouragement to Gaeun, expressing their hopes for her quick recovery and a speedy return.
Gaeun started her journey as a trainee with 143 Entertainment in 2021, at the age of 16. By early 2023, she officially debuted as a member of LIMELIGHT. Since then, the group has released 2 EPs and 1 single album, showcasing their potential in the K-pop industry.
