Min Hee-jin Explains Why She Asked Shaman About BTS’s Military Service

ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin revealed the reason she asked a shaman for advice regarding BTS’s military service issues

At 3 p.m. on April 25th, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin held an emergency press conference at the Korea Conference Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

Earlier on the 22nd, HYBE announced the result of their audit on ADOR’s attempts to take over management rights. Accordingly, HYBE confirmed evidence proving ADOR’s plans to become independent from HYBE under the instruction of CEO Min Hee-jin and filed a complaint against ADOR executives.

HYBE also revealed that CEO Min Hee-jin has been receiving advice from a shaman on company management matters, such as the recruitment of employees. Shaman A, who has been giving advice on management matters to Min Hee-jin through messages, is known to have a close relationship with the female CEO.

In particular, HYBE disclosed that Min Hee-jin asked the shaman about BTS’s military service issue and said, “I think it would be better for me if BTS go to the army. I think it would be beneficial for me to not have them here”.

Regarding the conversation with the shaman, Min Hee-jin explained, “With the heart of a mother, I was only thinking for NewJeans as if they are my own children. I’m so tired of HYBE. Wouldn’t it be better for NewJeans to be active when the ace is not there? That’s my personal opinion. I’ll sue them (HYBE). And the shaman is my friend. Can’t I have a friend who is a shaman?”

In response to the allegation of attempting to take over management rights, Min Hee-jin complained of unfair treatment after raising the issue about rookie girl group ILLIT, which recently debuted under another HYBE label BELIFT LAB, and claimed that ILLIT copied NewJeans.
