On July 27th, Sina reported photos of Zhao Wei at Beijing Airport after returning from her trip to Yunnan, China. When some people recognized her, the actress happily greeted them back. In April, Tianyancha reported that the amount of 5 million yuan of Zhao Wei’s holdings in “Hebao Entertainment Group Co., Ltd had been frozen by Beijing No.4 Intermediate People’s Court until April 10th, 2027.
However, the media believe that the amount of money being frozen is not comparable to the actress’s real assets because her husband is the wealthy businessman Huang Youlong.
Upon hearing the news about Zhao Wei’s whereabouts, many fans also expressed regret as Zhao Wei cannot carry out activities in the entertainment industry. Fan BingBing is also banned in China but she’s still active in Europe, Southeast Asia and Korea. In terms of talents, many think Zhao Wei is better than Fan BingBing as she has acted in many classic dramas and movies and can do well in both acting and singing.
Once a top actress in China, Zhao Wei has been blacklisted by the Chinese media from August 2021. However, production companies did not even reveal the exact reason why she was banned.
