Chinese actress Zhao Lusi recently ended her contract with her long-time agency Galaxy Cool Entertainment, but just days later, the company is now embroiled in collapse rumors after reports surfaced that all five major shareholders have pulled out.
On November 9, Zhao Lusi made her exit official during a fan meeting celebrating her birthday. However, by November 14, Galaxy Cool Entertainment unexpectedly became a trending topic on Weibo due to reports claiming the agency was on the brink of shutting down.

According to Chinese media, the five firms previously holding stakes in Galaxy Cool—including Shanghai Yunfeng Xincheng Investment Center and Beijing Chuangshexinhe Technology Co., Ltd. —have all reportedly exited the shareholder lineup. Additionally, several board members are said to have stepped down, triggering mass speculation online.

In response, Galaxy Cool Entertainment issued an urgent statement to deny the allegations.
“All company operations are functioning normally,” the statement read. “Shareholder changes are standard commercial behavior.”
The company also warned that it would take legal action against those spreading false information, vowing to “pursue full legal accountability for rumor-mongers and malicious disseminators.”

Meanwhile, Zhao Lusi’s new management label has been revealed as Orca Entertainment, led by Li Wei, the former CEO of Galaxy Cool and her longtime mentor. Li Wei is credited with discovering Zhao eight years ago and guiding her initial rise in the industry.
Since leaving Galaxy Cool in 2023, Li Wei has reestablished ties with Zhao Lusi in 2024. He even organized her recent birthday event, where the actress choked up while publicly thanking him for his unwavering support.
As Galaxy Cool faces increasing scrutiny, many fans are focused on Zhao Lusi’s fresh start under new leadership—and wondering if her exit may have signaled deeper problems within her former agency.
