YouTuber Kim Yong-ho, who was put on trial for forcibly molesting a woman at a meat restaurant, appeared in the evidence video
Kim Yong-ho, a former entertainment journalist, is on trial on charges of forced harassment of a woman.
On Sep 7th, the Busan District Prosecutors’ Office’s Criminal Division 2 (chief prosecutor Park Ki-hwan) announced that Kim Yong-ho was indicted without detention on charges of forced harassment.
Kim Yong-ho is accused of touching the body and kissing a woman even when she refused to do so at a meat restaurant in Haeundae-gu, Busan, around July 2019.
Earlier, victim A filed a complaint with the police at the end of September last year along with a video of evidence taken at the time.
The video is known to include a scene where Kim Yong-ho tries to touch A’s body while the victim refuses.
Some parts of the video have also spread to various online communities.
According to Article 298 of the Criminal Act (Forced Harassment), a person who commits harassment against someone by assault or intimidation shall be punished by imprisonment with work for not more than 10 years or a fine of not more than 15 million won.
This is not the first time that Kim Yong-ho has been embroiled in a legal dispute.

Kim Yong-ho posted a video on his YouTube channel in August 2019, claiming that former Justice Minister Cho Kuk sponsored a specific actress.
The court sentenced Kim Yong-ho to eight months in prison on charges of defamation by stating false information, citing that it is recognized that he slanders the victims, including former Minister Cho Kuk, by spreading false information.
Kim Yong-ho, who objected to the first trial’s ruling, filed an appeal with the Criminal 12 Team of the Seoul Eastern District Court on the 17th of last month.
In addition, he was also accused of raising suspicions about the private life of singer Kim Gun-mo’s spouse at the 2020 Garosero Research Institute fanmeeting.

The court reported that Kim admitted to defaming former Minister Cho and other victims by specifying false facts about them.
However, the court did not arrest Kim in court considering that he was being tried in another court.
