Popular YouTuber NareumTV, who has 2.6 million subscribers, has come forward with a shocking allegation, claiming that one of the people who bullied her in elementary school later appeared on Produce 101 and eventually debuted as an idol.
On December 18, NareumTV uploaded a video titled “A True Story: The School Bully Who Even Made an Anti-Fan Café for Me Later Debuted as an Idol”, emphasizing that the story was “100% real.” The video featured imagery referencing Produce 101 Season 2, immediately drawing attention from viewers.

NareumTV recalled casually flipping through TV channels years ago and suddenly recognizing a familiar face on the audition program. “It was one of the people who bullied me,” she said. “I was in fourth grade at the time—only 10 years old. People might say that’s too young for it to be serious, but kids can be shockingly calculating at that age.”
According to NareumTV, the bully went as far as creating an online anti-fan café dedicated to harassing her, posting daily insults. “Can you imagine what it feels like for a 10-year-old to read pages filled with hate about themselves?” she said. “I honestly don’t even know what I did wrong back then. I was quiet, timid, and kept to myself.”
She went on to share a painful memory: “It became unbearable, so I told my mom and spoke with my homeroom teacher. On the taxi ride home, I remember crying and asking, ‘If I die, will they be punished?’ Even after 20 years, I still remember every detail of that moment.”
NareumTV later attempted to reach out to the alleged bully as an adult but was ignored. “I saw them pop up on Facebook and gathered the courage to message them. The result was silence.”

The YouTuber clarified that while the person did not debut through Produce 101, they later debuted under a different agency. Despite everything, NareumTV stressed she is not seeking revenge. “I don’t want them to fail. They’re not a top idol yet, but everyone has their moment to shine. When that day comes, I just hope they’ll say, ‘We were young, I’m sorry.’ Then I’d like to respond, ‘Yes, we were young,’ and sincerely wish them well.”
NareumTV’s twin sister and fellow creator, Dareum, also spoke out, saying, “Thinking back on it still hurts. I remember standing in the hallway while our parents and teacher talked inside the classroom. That memory has never left me.”
NareumTV is widely known as a mukbang creator and has previously appeared on JTBC’s LAN Life and IHQ’s MUK-FIA Season 1. Her revelation has reignited discussions online about unresolved school violence cases and accountability in the entertainment industry.
