On August 7, singer-actress YoonA sat down with the press in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to discuss her upcoming film Pretty Crazy.
Originally, actor Kim Seon-ho was cast as the male lead but withdrew due to a personal scandal. He was replaced by Ahn Bo-hyun, who has since taken on the role with confidence and support from the cast.

“I hoped the male lead would feel dependable, and Ahn Bo-hyun really matched the character both visually and emotionally,” said YoonA. “Thanks to him, I felt more comfortable doing physically demanding scenes. He supported my energy well, and I think that helped build our on-screen chemistry.”
Coincidentally, YoonA also faced a similar situation in her upcoming tvN drama Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, set to premiere on August 23. Initially cast actor Park Sung-hoon was embroiled in a controversy after posting adult content on his personal account. Though he apologized, he ultimately stepped down, and Lee Chae-min was brought in as a replacement.
Rather than dwell on the disruptions, YoonA embraced the changes with quiet strength.

“In both projects, I felt a responsibility to carry the story,” she shared. “So I focused even more deeply on my character. There were casting issues, yes, but I just told myself to do my job well. Fortunately, the new co-stars were fantastic in their roles, and I’m truly grateful.”
YoonA’s ability to remain calm and focused in the face of unexpected changes reflects her growth as a performer and leader on set. Despite the turbulence surrounding Pretty Crazy and Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, she remains committed to delivering strong performances and lifting her co-stars along the way.
