On September 8, tvN Joy’s YouTube channel released a preview clip of YoonA’s appearance on You Quiz on the Block. The actress, who is currently starring in the tvN drama Bon Appetit Your Majesty, opened up about her daily routine and behind-the-scenes stories from the set.
When host Yoo Jae-suk asked, “What’s the first thing you do in the morning?” YoonA candidly replied, “I check the ratings as soon as I wake up.” She added that many people now call her by her character’s name, “Yeon Ji-young,” instead of YoonA.
The actress also revealed her dedication to the role, sharing that she took cooking lessons for three months to prepare. “I tried to do about 95% of the cooking myself. I got so used to it that I really felt like a chef on set,” YoonA said. She even explained a funny moment: “There’s a scene where I squeeze out gochujang. I thought, if I were really a chef, I wouldn’t carefully scoop it out, I’d probably just let it drip naturally.”
Her passion extended beyond acting to cast bonding. During a wrap party for Bon Appetit Your Majesty, YoonA even climbed onto a chair with her shoes off, shouting “Daebak!” in excitement. Laughing, she admitted, “It felt like I was hosting a variety show.”
As the drama continues, YoonA teased the audience with a hint of mystery: “Will I return to the present day, or remain in the past?”
