On September 3, YouTube channel This is the Real Final uploaded an episode titled “Turns Out We Dated the Same Guy? Pajama Sisters Party Ep.15.” The video featured Yoon A-ra alongside fellow former Ulzzang Generation cast members Han Areumsongee and Choi Eun-hee, reminiscing about their past.
When asked if they had admired any male “ulzzangs” during filming, Yoon A-ra candidly admitted: “That person fell into ruin. Back then, when we dated, it was very innocent. I never thought he would end up living like that.”
Han Areumsongee revealed, “A-ra actually dated that guy,” surprising even the production team. To add another twist, Choi Eun-hee confessed: “I also secretly dated him for a short while. This is my first time saying it.”
The candid revelations left everyone on set stunned, while Yoon A-ra emphasized that her brief relationship with Jun Joon-young happened when they were very young.
The remarks quickly went viral online, with netizens speculating about the identity of the “fallen” celebrity. Many comments pointed to Jung Joon-young, with phrases like: “Isn’t this about Joon-young?” and “The Burning Sun guy for sure.”
This speculation was fueled further by the fact that during Ulzzang Generation 6, Jung Joon-young himself publicly mentioned Yoon A-ra as his ex-girlfriend.
Once known for his music and variety show appearances, Jung Joon-young’s career collapsed following the 2019 Burning Sun scandal. He was sentenced to prison for sexual assault and illegal filming crimes, making him one of the most infamous figures in recent K-pop history.
The Ulzzang Generation alumni have since taken very different paths. While some, like Park Tae-joon, found business success, others, like Jung Joon-young, faced irreversible downfall. Yoon A-ra’s reflection has once again highlighted the drastic turns that early 2010s “ulzzang stars” have experienced.
