On the February 25 broadcast of tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block,” actor Park Ji Hoon appeared as a guest to talk about his role in “The King’s Warden.” In this film, Park portrays Danjong (Yi Hong Wi), the sixth king of the Joseon Dynasty. With his clear features and sorrowful gaze, he has captured the hearts of audiences, earning praise for transforming from a “wink-idol” into what some call the reincarnation of King Danjong.

During the episode, Yoo Jae Suk teased, “The director must be in a great mood these days. He’s not someone who hides his excitement.” Park Ji Hoon laughed and revealed, “While waiting for stage greetings, he tells me, ‘Ji Hoon, don’t get carried away. Stay calm and composed.’ But he’s the most excited one.”

Director Jang Hang Jun also appeared in a video message after receiving a bouquet from the You Quiz on the Block production team. Addressing Yoo Jae Suk directly, he said, “Jae Suk, you really have good instincts. Before the film was released, you told me, ‘Hyung, this one feels different.’ Now I understand why people always say ‘Yoo Jae Suk, Yoo Jae Suk.’ Thank you.”
He also spoke affectionately about Park Ji Hoon, joking, “I fall asleep wondering, ‘Did our Ji Hoon sleep well?’ ‘Is he eating something delicious?’” He added playfully, “You should at least think that I contributed a bit to you appearing on You Quiz on the Block,” drawing laughter from the studio.
“The King’s Warden” is set in 1457 at Cheongnyeongpo and tells the story of a village chief who voluntarily chooses exile for the revival of his village and a young dethroned king sent into exile. The film has surpassed 6 million moviegoers and continues its successful run at the box office.
