On July 26th, a video titled “The Only Hyungs Who Can ‘Scratch’ God Yoo!” was uploaded on the “Jo Dong Ari” channel.
Yoo Jae-suk appeared as the first guest on “Jo Dong Ari”, catching viewers’ attention. He sat down with Kim Soo-yong, Kim Yong-man and Ji Suk-jin to reminisce about old memories.
During the conversation, Yoo Jae-suk said “We all have thin ears. Yong-man’s nickname was Dumbo“, to which Kim Yong-man replied, “Looking back, I regret not listening to real estate advice when we were making a lot of money. Instead, I went the wrong way with stocks.”
Ji Suk-jin added, “I get stock tips like, ‘I’m telling you because it’s you.’ ‘I don’t want to succeed alone, so I’m telling you.’ Yong-man just buys whatever he’s told. But Yoo Jae-suk never buys, even after three or four calls.”
Yoo Jae-suk explained, “Why would I buy something I don’t understand? So I asked ‘What does this company do?’ and they would say, ‘Why does that matter?’ They told me, ‘It’s high risk, high return’, ‘Opportunities like this don’t come often.’“
Ji Suk-jin continued, “We’ve never had high returns in our lives. It’s always high risk.” Yoo Jae-suk said, “I just kept saving.” Ji Suk-jin noted “He just puts his money in the bank at 2.1% interest” while Kim Soo-yong lamented, “Whenever I buy, the CEO gets arrested, and the company gets delisted.”
Yoo Jae-suk asked if Kim Soo-yong was okay, noting he seemed troubled. Kim Yong-man joked “Don’t his eyes look like they’re hitting the lower limit? If it gets too hard, lie down on the couch for a bit“, making everyone laugh.
Yoo Jae-suk mentioned, “When we talk about these investments, the day goes by quickly. Yong-man did a lot. He invested in shops and even tried clothing businesses.” Ji Suk-jin bluntly said, “None of it succeeded.” Kim Yong-man added, “Yoo Jae-suk doesn’t get swayed by those things.”
Kim Soo-yong asked if Yoo Jae-suk had ever done any business. Yoo Jae-suk shared, “Because I had hyungs like you around, I thought I shouldn’t get involved in such things.” Ji Suk-jin recalled, “Yong-man never succeeded in real estate investments. It’s really sad because he showed me two places in Garosugil when it was dark at 10 PM. He said ‘This place is going to be popular’, but he never bought anything. It was really cheap back then.“
Yoo Jae-suk said, “I still can’t believe it. Every time we go to Garosugil, Suk-jin and I say, ‘This is the place Yong-man introduced us to.’ He said, ‘Everything here will change completely.’” Ji Suk-jin noted, “Yong-man is strange with electronics and cars. As soon as he buys something, a new model comes out, and the value drops.” Yoo Jae-suk added “Because of such examples, we used to buy things after Yong-man“, making everyone laugh.
