Yoo Ah-in’s Father Passed Away, “The Actor Is Staying At The Funeral”

According to insiders on August 7th, Mr. Uhm Young-in, the father of actor Yoo Ah-in, passed away earlier on the same day after battling a disease. He died at the age of 67.

An official in the entertainment industry said, “Yoo Ah-in’s father had been battling a chronic disease. I heard his condition had worsened recently”. Yoo Ah-in is staying at the funeral hall to mourn his father after receiving the sad news.

The funeral has been set up at the funeral hall of DCMC Daegu Catholic University Hospital and the coffin will be borne out at 9:30 a.m. on August 9th. Yoo Ah-in’s father will be buried at Myeongbok Park.

Earlier in 2019, Yoo Ah-in appeared on a KBS 1TV program and expressed affection for his father.

Back then, he said, “When I was 17, I moved to Seoul and started acting. Therefore, I’ve lived only for myself, trying to do things in my own way and making a place for myself in the world. Despite that, I’ve always been a mama boy. When asked who I liked more, I’ve never answered ‘Dad’”, adding “I recently started thinking about my father. For the first time, I called him and talked about various things. I also told him that I love him. It was the first time I had done that ever since I became an adult. I felt so embarrassed”.
