A YG representative told TV Daily on August 28th regarding the YGX liquidation process, “YG Entertainment is continuously working to enhance profitability through a sound and competitive business structure that remains focused on its core business.“
The representative added, “In March, we established a ‘Global Training Center’ and plan to absorb YGX’s capabilities internally to strengthen our competitiveness in discovering new talents while continuously enhancing our artists’ abilities.“
YGX was established in 2018 as a dance management and academy business label under YG Entertainment. It is home to choreographer Lee Jung, who gained immense popularity through “Street Woman Fighter”.
The label has been responsible for choreographing performances for YG and The Black Label artists, including BLACKPINK, WINNER and TREASURE, and has also produced choreography and conducted training for artists from other agencies.
