YG Entertainment has officially addressed the reports claiming XG is their soon-to-debut Japanese girl group.
XG, an upcoming girl group with a girl crush concept that consists of all Japanese members, was believed to be a collaborative project between Japan’s Avex Entertainment and Korea’s YG Entertainment.
However, earlier today (February 21), YG denied this information through a press release, saying, “Our company has nothing to do with girl group XG.” Regarding their actual new girl group, BABY MONSTER, YG did not give any statements. Fans are still looking forward to the launch of BABY MONSTER in Korea this year.
Meanwhile, XG will officially debut in Japan on March 18, 2022. XG consists of 7 members: Jurin, Chisa, Cocona, Hinata, Maya, Juria, Harvey. Ezaki Hikaru is expected to join XG after her contract with Kep1er ends.
