Yeo Jin-goo, Cho Yi-hyun, Bae In-hyuk to team up for new time-slip melodrama film “Similar”

The movie “Similar” has begun its production. 

On April 14th, the production company GoGo Studio announced that the casting for the upcoming movie “Similar” has been finalized, and shooting will start in May 2022. “Similar” depicts the story of a man and a woman who live in different time periods and communicate through radio by chance, sharing about love and friendship. 

Similar” is a new remake of the fantasy romance film “Ditto,” starring Kim Ha-neul, Yoo Ji-tae, Park Yong-woo and Ha Ji-won, which was released in 2000. Yeo Jin-goo has been cast as Yong, a returning student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in Class of 1995. Yeo Jin-goo, who has established himself as an actor who can guarantee high ratings in his 20s through successful dramas such as “Hotel Del Luna” and “Beyond Evil,” promises to show an emotional performance in “Similar“.

Cho Yi-hyun, who became a rising star thanks to the popularity of Netflix’s series “All of Us Are Dead”, was selected for the role of Mu-nee, a Sociology student in Class 21. She is preparing for a completely different character transformation from her image in “All of Us Are Dead”.

In addition, Kim Hye-yoon, who showed great performances in the dramas “SKY Castle” and “Secret Royal Inspector & Joy”, joined the cast as Han-sol, Yong’s first love. Na In-woo, who is active as a regular member of KBS2’s “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4”, was cast to play Yeong-ji, Mu-nee’s friendly male friend. Lastly, Bae In-hyuk was selected for the role of Eun-seong, a close friend of the same department as Yong. Recently, Bae In-hyuk has also been cast for the leading role in SBS’s drama “Why Her?”.
