On September 3, Sports Kyunghyang reported that Yang Jae-woong had decided to postpone the wedding.
According to the media outlet, a representative from Yang Jae-woong’s agency stated, “I talked to Director Yang Jae-woong. He is, of course, ready to offer a personal apology at any time in connection with the recent incident. He has also decided to postpone the wedding with Hani. I understand that this was not a decision made by him alone but was discussed between the two of them.”
The agency’s representative also mentioned that the YouTube channel “Yangbro”, which Yang Jae-woong ran with his older brother Yang Jae-jin, is currently suspended. Yang Jae-woong’s side clarified, “There might be content linked on the web that makes it seem like the site is still active, but the webpage is managed by a separate operator. It appears to be open, but it could be misunderstood as a promotional effort suggesting that we are still in business.“
Previously, a woman in her 30s, identified as A, who was hospitalized at a hospital run by Yang Jae-woong in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, passed away on May 27. A’s family filed a police complaint in June against Yang Jae-woong and five other medical staff members.
Yang Jae-woong is well-known for his appearances on various TV programs such as SBS NEWS’ “Morning Wide”, MBC’s “Live This Morning”, SBS’s “Young Doctors” and Channel A’s “Heart Signal”. He has been dating Hani since 2022, and they were planning to get married next month.
