Yan Haoxiang, a member of the Chinese boy group Teens in Times (TNT), has become the center of intense online discussion following a deeply emotional family controversy involving a reported debt dispute.
The situation escalated after his biological father publicly claimed financial hardship and demanded that his son take responsibility for debts reportedly reaching 10 million RMB (approximately $1.4 million USD).

According to reports, the father posted a message titled “A Failed Father”, revealing that he had suffered major losses from real estate investments and was currently listed as a defaulter in enforcement proceedings.
In the same post, he accused his children of neglecting him during his financial crisis and declared that he was cutting ties with Yan Haoxiang and his sister. The most controversial claim was his demand that Yan Haoxiang repay the massive debt, sparking widespread backlash across Chinese social media.

Yan Haoxiang’s mother quickly responded, stating that she had divorced his father 17 years ago and had raised their son alone. She also revealed that despite the separation, Yan Haoxiang had still provided financial support to his father, reportedly exceeding 3 million RMB (approximately $420,000 USD).
She further added that he had also promised to support his half-sister’s overseas education and continued to cover basic living expenses for his father, framing the situation as emotional coercion rather than a financial obligation.

The conflicting narratives from both parents have fueled public debate, with many netizens expressing sympathy for Yan Haoxiang and arguing that he had already fulfilled both moral and financial responsibilities.
Amid the controversy, emotional footage from a recent concert circulated online, showing Yan Haoxiang turning away from the stage, covering his face, and visibly crying while trying to continue performing.

This moment led to rumors that he might leave Teens in Times (TNT) due to overwhelming pressure. However, his management company, Time Fengjun Entertainment, quickly denied these claims, calling the circulating resignation documents fake.
The agency confirmed that his contract remains valid until 2030 and emphasized that all rumors about his departure are false.

Despite the clarification, public concern remains high as Yan Haoxiang continues to promote new music, film variety shows, and participate in group activities.
For now, fans are closely watching his situation as both his career and personal life remain under intense scrutiny.
