Mnet’s upcoming global dance survival show, “World of Street Woman Fighter” (WSWF), is already generating massive buzz with just the release of its main trailer.

Unveiled on May 2 via the YouTube channel The CHOOM, the 7-minute trailer instantly captivated global viewers, climbing YouTube’s trending list and surpassing 5,500 comments as of May 7. The explosive reaction suggests the show may be on its way to becoming another phenomenon.
The trailer gives a vivid behind-the-scenes look at the competition’s recording, featuring the introduction of six global dance crews, fierce battle scenes and stunning performance cuts. Star-studded judges J.Y. Park, Aliya Janell and Mike Song also appear, offering live reactions that only further fuel viewer anticipation.

As expected from a country-versus-country format, internationally renowned dancers are making waves. Fans flooded the comments with excitement, writing things like “Kaea is absolutely gorgeous,” “Kyoka’s star quality is insane,” and “Logistx has such strong presence, even in short scenes.” One user humorously noted, “While everyone’s crying and power battling, the MOTIV girls from the U.S. look like they’re in ‘fun mode’—it’s hilarious!”
Anticipation is also high for Team Korea, which includes 9 top dancers, such as leaders from SWF Season 1 and Lip J. In particular, the trailer teases a joint performance between Honey J and Rihey, invoking nostalgia and excitement among longtime fans.

With fans already calling it a “pre-syndrome” moment, viewers are now wondering whether World of Street Woman Fighter can recapture the explosive popularity of its predecessors and deliver another round of legendary dance moments.
World of SWF is the third season of the Street Woman Fighter franchise and will feature top crews from South Korea, New Zealand, the United States, Japan and Australia. The show premieres May 27 at 10 PM KST on Mnet.
