Agency Takes Legal Action Against Defamation And Sexual Harassment Against Kwon Eun-bi

On November 29, Woollim Entertainment released an official statement regarding taking legal action against artist attacks.

In particular, the full statement reads:

“Hello,

This is Woollim Entertainment.

First of all, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have been sending endless love and support to all the artists under Woollim Entertainment (Lee Su-jeong, Golden Child, Rocket Punch, DRIPPIN, Kwon Eunbi).

Currently, serious defamation acts such as personal attacks, dissemination of false information, sexual harassment, and invasion of privacy are spreading by exploiting anonymity, causing serious mental damage to artists.

Our company has been actively monitoring malicious posts that constitute defamation against our artists on various online communities, SNS, YouTube, etc., and has been collecting relevant data and numerous pieces of evidence. However, due to the continuous malicious posts against the artists, we have determined that the seriousness of the situation cannot be overlooked any longer and are making our stance clear.

Such actions are clearly criminal, and based on the collected evidence, we will take strong criminal legal measures without leniency for offenses related to defamation under the Information and Communication Network Act and defamation under the Criminal Code.

In the future, we will do our best by actively collecting evidence and monitoring malicious posts to protect our artists. Therefore, we ask fans to report any malicious posts or clear criminal acts against our artists to our official email account.

We, Woollim Entertainment, will do our best to protect the personal rights and honor of our artists.

Thank you.”
