On October 22, it was confirmed through a broadcast review report that KBS ruled both If You Wanna and another track “Beautiful” from Wonho’s album as inappropriate for airing, citing the same reason: lyrics that were “excessively sexual in content.“
If You Wanna, which is set to be released on October 31, is the title track of Syndrome, an album that marks Wonho’s first full studio project since debuting as a solo artist five years and two months ago. Notably, Wonho personally took part in composing and arranging the title track, making the ban a particular blow to fans and the artist alike.

The album contains 10 tracks, including “If You Wanna,” “Fun,” “DND,” “Scissors,” “At The Time,” “Beautiful,” “On Top Of The World,” “Maniac,” “Better Than Me,” and “Good Liar.” While If You Wanna and “Beautiful” were banned, the remaining eight tracks passed KBS’s broadcast standards and are cleared for TV and radio play.
According to KBS guidelines, songs ruled unfit may be re-submitted for review if the problematic parts are edited, removed, or rewritten. Only tracks that pass the review can be aired on KBS’s platforms, including its television and radio programs.

Wonho wasn’t the only artist affected. Fellow idol Kino also saw several tracks from his second EP EVERYBODY’S GUILTY, BUT NO ONE’S TO BLAME banned. Songs like “CLUB SEX CIGARETTES” and “MAPSI” were disqualified for similar reasons — “excessively suggestive lyrics” — and even their clean versions were rejected. Tracks “WURK (feat. jungwooseok)” and “DEVIL ON MY SHOULDER” were also banned due to profanity and vulgar language.
Other artists impacted by the recent round of reviews include XLOV with “Rizz,” and Eucalyptus and OLNL, whose songs were flagged for containing profanity or crude language.
Wonho’s fans now await to see whether he will adjust the lyrics and seek re-evaluation or choose to promote the album through alternative channels.
