Group iKON expressed their position regarding the renewal of the contract with YG Entertainment.
On the morning of May 3rd, a press conference was held at YG Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as YG)’s headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul to commemorate the release of iKON‘s fourth mini-album “FLASHBACK“.
“iKON’s brother group” WINNER renewed their contract with YG last year for 5 more years. At the same time, attention is focused on whether iKON, which marks their 7th debut anniversary this year, will renew. When asked if he had talked about renewing his contract with YG, Kim Jin-hwan replied, “We haven’t talked about it with the company yet. Nothing has been concretely decided. Of course, we’ll work hard for our album and iKON.”
“FLASHBACK” is the first album that iKON presents as a whole after a year and two months since the digital single “Why Why Why“. The title song “BUT YOU” features lyrics that honestly confess the feelings of not being able to forget the ex-lover. It reinterprets pop music in the 1980s with a modern sound.
iKON’s fourth mini-album “FLASHBACK” was released through various music sites at 6 PM today.
