WINNER Kim Jin-woo praised as a “face genius” for his SM-like visual… Song Min-ho got upset, “I’m YG face”
WINNER’s Song Min-ho expressed his disappointment in his YG-like face.
On July 7th, WINNER’s IDDP video was released on the official Youtube channel “1theK Originals”.
“IDDP” is a web entertainment content in which idols search for their names on Internet sites, such as Youtube, and online communities and reveal various unreleased facts. Lee Seung-hoon, Song Min-ho, Kim Jin-woo, and Kang Seung-yoon presented their unique witty talks and showed their strong teamwork while searching for “WINNER”.
Song Min-ho couldn’t hide his embarrassment when the video of him and his best friend since high school – Block B’s P.O (Pyo Ji-hoon) singing a cover of Dynamic Duo’s “Confession” was mentioned in his discography. This is because the video was filmed a long time ago and he was very chubby back then.
“Shall we click the green line?”, the production team suggested. Song Min-ho firmly responded, “No, I reject that idea”. However, Kang Seung-yoon clicked on the Youtube link instead.
Song Min-ho laughed hard as soon as he saw his unfamiliar appearance in the past. The male rapper explained “This is when I was 17” then clicked the ‘dislike’ button and tried to report the video.
Member Kim Jin-woo is complimented as a “face genius” representing WINNER and male singers in WINNER’s agency – YG Entertainment. It means he owns an admirable sculptural appearance. “Watermelon-like face (the face that SM Entertainment’s CEO Lee Soo-man will applaud” was found on Kim Jin-woo’s profile.
Lee Seung-hoon said, “But thinking of this SM face, it means that YG singers have a bit of…”. Kang Seung-yoon agreed, “Poor appearance”.
Lee Seung-hoon got frustrated and said, “‘Even YG has this handsome member’, it’s like that. Then what about the rest of us?”. Song Min-ho immediately reacted, “Hey, report this article”, drawing laughter.
Lee Seung-hoon then said, “Of course, I also like SM idols and know that they’re handsome and pretty”. Kang Seung-yoon agreed, “Yeah. I know”. Song Min-ho added, “I’m YG face, you know”, making everyone laugh with his disappointed expression.
WINNER made their first comeback in two years and three months with the 4th mini-album “HOLIDAY” on July 5th. As the title song “I LOVE YOU” topped various domestic and foreign music charts, the group has once again confirmed themselves as “WINNER’s refreshing music that we can trust and listen to”. The b-side tracks, including “10 MIN”, “HOLIDAY”, “Sweet Home”, “Family”, and “Little Finger”, are also receiving keen attention and love from music fans.
Following their comeback stage on Mnet’s “M Countdown”, which drew admiration with the members’ outstanding live singing skills, WINNER will also perform live performances of their new song “I LOVE YOU” on MBC’s “Show! Music Core” on July 9th, and SBS’s “Inkigayo” on July 10th.
The group will also hold a guerilla performance called “HOLIDAY IN THE CITY” at 8 p.m on July 10th at the Floating Stage in Hangang Park, Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
