On January 27, Wing appeared as a guest on SBS Power FM’s Cultwo Show , alongside fellow beatboxer Hiss , where he opened up about his experience serving in the Navy’s promotional unit. During his service, Wing briefly crossed paths with Park Bo-gum, who was then enlisted as a private.

Recalling the memory, Wing said that when he was a sergeant and Park Bo-gum was still a private, rank didn’t matter much to him. “I didn’t have that intimidating sergeant aura at all. I just said, ‘Bo-gum, wait a second,’ and made him sit there while I performed a full beatbox medley of everything I’m good at,” he joked. “He was sitting there so uncomfortably, but I completely ignored that and went all the way through.”

When the hosts joked that the experience might have left Park Bo-gum traumatized, Wing laughed and added, “That could be true. The beatbox room was really small. Bo-gum was sitting there with a buzz cut, and I was like, ‘Isn’t this cool?’” drawing laughter in the studio.

The two later reunited years after their discharge on KBS2’s music talk show The Seasons: Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile . Reflecting on the reunion, Wing said it was deeply moving. “After our last military performance, my friends and I were on the train talking about whether I’d ever get the chance to meet Bo-gum again in my life. And then it actually happened,” he shared. “It made me think that choosing beatboxing was the right decision.”

Wing went on to praise Park Bo-gum’s character, saying, “As everyone knows, Bo-gum hyung is truly like an angel. He’s incredibly kind.” He added that during their reunion, Park Bo-gum offered him valuable advice, made sure photos were taken together, and personally signed autographs. “Watching all that, I really felt that superstars are on a different level,” Wing said with admiration.

The story delighted listeners, offering a rare glimpse into Park Bo-gum’s off-screen personality and leaving fans charmed by yet another account of his well-known kindness.
