Son Dam-bi recently held a spectacular wedding but people are paying attention to the absence of her two best friends, Gong Hyo-jin and Jung Ryeo-won.
Gong Hyo-jin and Jung Ryeo-won publicly certified Son Dam-bi as their best friend on TV broadcasts but did not appear at her wedding. Gong Hyo-jin caught the bouquet at Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin’s wedding and publicized her romantic relationship with singer-songwriter Kevin Oh. However, Son Dam-bi’s bouquet went to model-actress Kang Seung-hyun, not Gong Hyo-jin.
On May 13th, Son Dam-bi and former national team speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk, who is 5 years older than her, held an outdoor wedding at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hannam-dong, Yongsan–gu, Seoul. Many of the two colleagues attended the wedding ceremony as the restriction on the number of event guests was already removed together with the social distancing regulations.

However, Gong Hyo-jin and Jung Ryeo-won, who boasted their strong friendship with Son Dam-bi as they were invited to her house for a birthday party in 2020 on ‘I Live Alone’, were not seen at the ceremony.

Son Dam-bi, Gong Hyo-jin, and Jung Ryeo-won have been calling each other “best friends” through SNS posts. They did not forget to celebrate each other’s birthday as well as reveal the scene of when they made pancakes together on the Chuseok holiday. In an interview for an underwear photoshoot in May 2021, Son Dam-bi affectionately said, “Gong Hyo-jin and Jung Ryeo-won are watching me with exciting eyes”.
However, their friendship moments have begun to disappear since Son Dam-bi was embroiled in the “fake chaebol” scandal in August last year. At that time, the Daekyung Daily reported that Kim, who pretended to be a wealthy heir, approached Son Dam-bi in 2019. He gave her luxury goods, a Porsche car, and even helped her pay the amount of 50 million won she borrowed from Jung Ryeo-won. UPDATE: An insider from H& Entertainment, Son Dam-bi’s agency, said, “In the case of Jeong Ryeo-won, she has a drama filming schedule in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, on May 13th. Gong Hyo-jin was on the attendance list but she was absent for personal reasons. Soyee couldn’t attend the wedding as well.”
