On the September 2nd broadcast of KBS 1TV’s “My Hometown at 6 PM,” LE SSERAFIM members Sakura, Kazuha, and Huh Yunjin will appear alongside the village youth president, Son Heon-su. The members, who have never experienced rural life, will assist elderly villagers with their chores, sharing their sincerity and spreading smiles.
The three members will meet the “LE SSERAFIM of Paju,” who won first place at the 2023 National Line Dance Competition. Although they achieved great results last year through hard practice, the elderly members, who are in their 70s and 80s, have been unable to participate in this year’s competition due to health issues and busy farming schedules. In response, LE SSERAFIM will transform into “one-day dance instructors” with the goal of helping them win next year.
When the junior members of “LE SSERAFIM of Paju” request, “Teach us the hip dance,” Huh Yunjin steps up to incorporate LE SSERAFIM’s “Smart” choreography into the line dance. Yunjin takes charge, encouraging everyone to “Smile brightly while dancing,” effectively taking on the role of a dance instructor. Her down-to-earth and easygoing demeanor, in contrast to her charismatic stage presence, wins the hearts of the elders.
In addition, Son Heon-su and LE SSERAFIM help with the farming chores of a “LE SSERAFIM of Paju” member who is unwell. However, after being advised that their outfits were unsuitable for farm work, they change into traditional work pants worn by the elders and diligently assist, working up a sweat. Sakura shares her thoughts, saying, “My back hurts, and it reminds me of my grandmother.” Meanwhile, Kazuha sincerely adds, “I thought about the faces of the elders who work hard every day” as they continue to help. Despite the hot weather, LE SSERAFIM demonstrates their dedication to supporting the elderly.
After their hard work, LE SSERAFIM enjoys their first taste of pumpkin leaf wraps. Huh Yunjin even makes wraps for the elders and becomes enamored with this new Korean dish. However, just as they are relaxing, an elder suddenly announces, “We need to pick mung beans,” signaling yet another farming task.
The special meeting between “My Hometown at 6 PM” and LE SSERAFIM will be broadcast in two parts on September 2nd and September 9th at 6 PM on KBS 1TV.
