“What if my boyfriend zips up my friend’s padded jacket?” Running Man ended the “Padding debate”

Here are Running Man cast and guests’ thoughts on the viral padding debate.

On the May 1st episode of SBS’s “Running Man,” Joo Woo Jae, Byun Woo Seok, and Park Kyung Hye appeared as guests and had a relationship-related discussion with the members. They talked about the viral “padding controversy”.

The debate is about whether it’s okay vs. it’s not okay when your boyfriend zips up your friend’s padding in front of you in the cold winter.

In response, Yoo Jae Suk immediately raised his voice, saying, “It’s actually a bit over the line (for the boyfriend) to do that.” Joo Woo Jae suggested that if the friend was struggling with zipping up the jacket, it would be fine for the boyfriend to help out.

Meanwhile, Kim Jong Kook said, “This action itself is too nice,” and that it is absolutely unacceptable.

The argument then heated up with Yoo Jae Suk saying, “It’s odd to help right away if the padding is not zipped up. But if the zipper doesn’t work, then it’s fine.”

Haha then said, “(My friend) has a runny nose,” creating a sudden hypothetical situation in which the friend has a runny nose.

Park Kyung Hye also made everyone laugh by saying, “It’s not okay,” because when the boyfriend zips up the friend’s padding, their eyes will meet. Byun Woo Seok expressed his opinion that it’s okay as long as they don’t make eye contact.

Ji Suk Jin eventually came up with a clear solution to the ongoing debate. He demonstrated, saying, “When you raise the zipper up, you have to stop when you raise it up this much.”

In other words, you just have to adjust the teeth and puller of the zipper, then turn around coolly and return to your girlfriend.

The members of Running Man then laughed and agreed to Ji Suk Jin’s solution. Netizens responded with comments such as, “As expected, the wisdom of an elderly person,” “LOL,” “He ended the debate,” and “So funny.”
