Lee Daehwi and Bae Jinyoung have spoken candidly about the possibility of a Wanna One reunion, raising fans’ hopes for 2027, the group’s 10th anniversary.
The two appeared on the YouTube channel Donghaemul and Baekdueunhyuk on September 22, where host Eunhyuk mentioned how fellow member Ha Sungwoon had shared fond memories of Wanna One. Lee Daehwi agreed, reflecting on their short but impactful time together.

“From debut, we always felt bittersweet because we knew we were heading toward the end. Fans still want to see all 11 members together, and we talk among ourselves about making it happen someday,” Daehwi said.
When asked if the group chat still exists, Daehwi looked at Jinyoung for confirmation. Laughing, Jinyoung replied, “Yes, but people leave and rejoin sometimes depending on number changes.” Daehwi added that Ha Sungwoon and Hwang Minhyun are usually the most active in suggesting get-togethers.
On the idea of a reunion, Daehwi shared: “We always say we want to do it. Once the older members finish their military service and before the younger ones enlist, the timing should be 2027 — and that’s also our 10th anniversary.”

Jinyoung agreed, saying, “That timing feels right.”
Daehwi also stressed that a reunion wouldn’t be for profit: “If we come back, it’s not about the money. We once promised through our song ‘Spring Breeze’ that we’d return after the spring winds passed. Six spring winds have already gone by. By 2027, it feels like we must return.”
The members also touched on other updates, with Daehwi revealing that Lai Kuanlin is now working as a drama director after announcing retirement from the entertainment industry. “I was shocked by the article. We need to reunite, but he suddenly said he’s retired,” Daehwi remarked.
With fans already buzzing over the possibility, 2027 could mark a historic comeback for Wanna One — six years after their last official activity.
