On June 5, Korean media outlet JoyNews24 reported that Wanna One is expected to participate in KCON LA 2026, which will be held this August at the Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center.
If confirmed, the appearance would mark the group’s first major performance since their special reunion stage at MAMA 2021, nearly five years ago.
Responding to the report, a representative from CJ ENM Official Website told Korean media that the matter is currently “under review,” stopping short of confirming the group’s participation.
After disbanding, Wanna One members have reunited for the first time in seven years through the Mnet Plus original reality show “Wanna One Go: Back to Base.”
The first episode, released on April 28, captures behind-the-scenes moments from their opening ceremony, including the long-awaited reunion with fans (Wannables). From laughter in the waiting room to nervous anticipation before stepping on stage, the members’ raw emotions are fully displayed.
Most notably, the preview revealed scenes of the members breaking down in tears together—highlighting just how meaningful this reunion is for both the group and fans.
The show introduces an upgraded version of their hangout space, “Wanna Base,” featuring personalized rooms that reflect each member’s unique style.

Adding a twist is a giant capsule machine called “Eurat Gatcha,” which can be used up to 11 times a day. This unpredictable device throws members into random situations, creating unexpected and entertaining moments.
Despite the years apart, their chemistry remains unchanged. One member jokingly claimed he was “too old for toys,” only to end up enjoying them more than anyone else—bringing laughter to the set with his contradiction.
The teaser also hints at an unexpected twist with the appearance of renowned director Jang Hang-jun. His sudden arrival leaves the members visibly flustered, with one joking, “Everyone becomes abnormal when this happens,” reacting to the chaotic situation unfolding before them.

For longtime fans, the show brings back the energy of the original “Wanna One Go” series from nearly a decade ago, while offering a fresh start for the group’s story. “The members’ loud, chaotic, and heartfelt chemistry remains exactly as fans remember—proving that time hasn’t changed their bond.”
“Wanna One Go: Back to Base” premieres on Mnet Plus at 6 PM KST, with a broadcast airing on Mnet at 8 PM KST.
