Former After School member and actress UEE recently shared an amusing yet embarrassing story about how her father’s overprotective nature completely shut down any possibility of her dating baseball players. Appearing on the July 20 episode of tvN STORY’s What’s Left to Eat?, UEE opened up about the unexpected consequences of having a father who worked as a baseball coach.
During the show, the host remarked that many people assumed UEE would eventually marry a baseball player because of her father’s career. The host asked whether her father had received numerous requests from players hoping to be introduced to her.

However, UEE quickly dismissed the assumption. “No one even asked to be introduced. The problem was that my father rejected them before they even had the chance.” She explained that her father would immediately tell players they couldn’t date his daughter even before anyone had expressed interest.
UEE recalled how the situation eventually became public, making her feel extremely embarrassed. “There was even an article saying, ‘We’re not interested either.'”

Laughing at the memory, she compared the situation to the Korean internet meme “0 confession, 1 rejection,” which refers to being rejected before ever confessing one’s feelings. “It was so embarrassing. It was basically like getting rejected before anyone had even confessed.”
UEE emphasized that she had done nothing to cause the situation. “I really didn’t do anything.” She added that because of her father’s strict attitude, she has never even been on a blind date with a baseball player, highlighting just how protective he was.
The lighthearted story amused viewers and offered a glimpse into the close but sometimes overly protective relationship between UEE and her father.
