GQ JAPAN has selected TXT (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Huening Kai) as “Men of the Year” for 2021.

TXT became “GQ Men of the Year 2021” after a careful selection carried out by Japan’s leading fashion magazine GQ JAPAN under the theme of “the year of brave people”. Every year, GQ JAPAN chooses people who have shown overwhelming performances throughout the whole year, regardless of genres. TXT was the only overseas artist to be able to show off their potential as a “4th generation It Boy”.

At 7:30 p.m on November 24th, at the awards ceremony aired live on GQ JAPAN’s official SNS channel, TXT sent their thank you message through a video. They expressed their feelings, “We are so happy to receive such a wonderful award. We can’t attend the award ceremony in person, but it is still an honor for us to be able to greet everyone like this”. TXT continued by showing their affection towards fans, saying, “Although we couldn’t meet our beloved MOA, since we had experience many new things, 2021 turned out to be a good year. We are looking forward to meeting MOA in person next year.”

With the first Japan EP “Chaotic Wonderland” released on November 10th, sweeping all major music charts in Japan, including Oricon Chart, TXT has proved their great popularity in this market. “Chaotic Wonderland” topped the Weekly Album Chart on November 22nd and the Weekly Combined Album Ranking (counting from Nov 8th to Nov 14th, 2021).

In addition, according to Billboard Japan’s Charts released on November 17th (counting from Nov 8th to Nov 14th, 2021), “Chaotic Wonderland” ranked No.1 in the Hot Album Chart and Top Album Sales Chart. Meanwhile, TXT also entered the Japan Artist 100 Chart and dominated the No.1 spot. “Chaotic Wonderland” also topped the Weekly Chart of all stores with albums released by Tower Records (counting from Nov 8th to Nov 14th, 2021).
