Recently, TWICE’s Nayeon appeared at the 2024 Waterbomb, a famous music festival in South Korea in the summer.
However, despite looking smokin’ hot with her summer look and delivering impressive performances, Korean topics about Nayeon were filled with negative comments about the female idol’s body.
In particular, many K-netizens slammed Nayeon for having visible stomach fat over her shorts, leaving comments such as, “It seems that she has gone lax on herself after promotions”, “She should exercise more”, and “She should have lost more weight before promoting”.
At the same time, there were a few that defended Nayeon, stating that the shorts were too tight, leading to her body bulging, and expressing sympathy that it’s hard being an idol.

Nevertheless, it can be clearly seen that Nayeon was subjected to extremely harsh beauty standards over just some slight stomach fat, revealing the hardships that K-pop idols, especially female ones, have to endure.
