Tzuyu will make her solo debut on September 6 with her first mini-album ‘abouTZU’ and the title track ‘Run Away.’ Following the release of the first teaser images on the official JYP Entertainment SNS channels on the 8th, four new concept photos were revealed at midnight on the 17th.
In the teaser, Tzuyu captivates with a flowing red dress and striking red lip makeup, drawing all eyes to her. Her somewhat empty and lonely appearance accentuates the dark night. K-pop fans worldwide responded enthusiastically to the expressions and emotions that Tzuyu is showcasing for the first time.
The new song ‘Run Away,’ which highlights Tzuyu’s fresh charm, features lyrics written by JYP Entertainment’s chief producer Park Jin-young. The composition credits boast a star-studded lineup, including Johnny Simpson, who has worked with global musicians like Lauv, OneRepublic, and MAX.
In addition to the title track, the album’s B-side tracks feature collaborations with PENTAGON’s Peniel and pH-1. Other contributing artists include Lostboy, who co-produced TWICE’s mini 12th album track ‘WALLFLOWER,’ American hip-hop duo Flyana Boss, British producer Tre Jean-Marie, and Kamille, who has worked with the world-renowned group Little Mix. Tzuyu also delivers a special touch with ‘Fly,’ her first-ever self-written song since her debut.
Tzuyu’s solo debut album ‘abouTZU’ and the title track ‘Run Away’ will be officially released on Friday, September 6, at 1 PM KST (midnight EST).
